Okay so my 2007 MacBook Pro finally went caput. Well, not really, but close enough. There was stress cracks on the frame around the screen, bruising on the LED screen and the optical drive died...again. That was the fourth time the damn optical drive had died. And then to make matters worse, when I took it down to the Arden Fair Mall store in Sacramento they looked at me and said the cracks weren't covered by my warranty and that it would cost me over $1,200 to fix it! When a new MacBook Pro starts at $1,699! I don't think so! So I called the technical support peoples and started to raise hell. I've been with Apple since my first computer, a Quadra 610. Stone age computer. Well I went through about six people (and there was much yelling, threatening and squeaking (on their part)) and finally I got to some specialist chick who said that since I'd had the same problem since I got the computer they were going to replace it. And since that generation of the MacBook Pro is no longer available they gave me the 2009 MacBook Pro for free! With the brand new OS (Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard!). I didn't even have to pay to ship my old laptop back and to ship in this one! I am way happy.

I am also back in college. *le sigh* But it isn't so bad. So far my classes are tolerable. I've got a MidTerm in World Civ coming up. And a HUGE research paper (thesis style) in Oceanography. And since Oceanography is a night class I spend two nights a week at my friends house.

And speaking of friends house...her 1994 Ford Escort hates us! This morning we were half way to school when the alternator died. We were running only on battery power. So hopefully she has enough power to get the car back the house so that my Dad and I can drive up on Saturday to replace the alternator and give the car a tune up. How fun. So yeah, this weekend is going to be oh so fun.

And then, even more fun, both of us are running on 2 and a half hours of sleep because we were up until 3:30 in the morning working on homework. Grrr! I shall now go home, kick my Grandparents out of the house (they are going up to Carson City for a 3 day dog show) and SLEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

And here's a question..and I'm pretty sure I know the answer to it....but does anyone even read this shit? Or should I not bother anymore?
